Easy Redirect Plugin

Thanks for visiting Brainwavers. If you're new here and you like what you see, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. I hope you enjoy the site

I recently checked my blog on websitegrader and found that I didn’t have any type of redirect. I searched for how to set up a redirect, but most of the articles assumed that the reader already knew a lot about coding, which I don’t. I finally ran across an article and plugin from Justin Shattuck. I downloaded, installed, and activated the plugin in about 2 minutes. After activating the plugin I went back to websitegrader and rechecked my site. The redirect worked fine and my score had already improved. Thanks for the plugin Justin.

The Hateful Conservative

Recently, I have been accused of being confused, close-minded, and hateful. What has my mind drowning in a pool of bleeding hearts is the fact that these accusations come because of an article I wrote about repeat sex offenders. I will never understand what goes on inside the mind of someone who can choose criminal’s rights over victim’s rights. Wow! Victims have rights too? I’m tired of hearing about criminal’s rights from the donthaveACLUe and other sleezy defense lawyers.

I Stand For What I Believe

In today’s world people are so accustomed to crawfishing (for anyone outside of the southeast US this means backing up) and trying to be politically correct that when someone stands firm on thier beliefs they are attacked as being hateful, bigots, or, oh my the worst of all, not tolerant! Well guess what, I’m not tolerant. I have zero tolerance for drug pushers. I have zero tolerance for murderers. I have zero tolerance for rapists. I have zero tolerance for child abusers. I also have zero tolerance for the people who enable these criminals by telling them that it’s not their fault. Their actions must have been caused by society, their parents, or something they experienced as a child that has been locked away for years. The doctors, lawyers, and psychiatrists who peddle this crap only do so because it means a large paycheck for them. I believe that every person is responsible for his own actions. Go ahead and label me as you will, but I still believe what I believe. In fact, if you will send me a hard copy of that label I can use it the next time the toilet paper roll is empty.

Diet Update: Week 16

I’ve been away from the desk for several weeks. My wife and I are building a house, meaning that we have done a majority of the work ourselves. We have been in the final stages and really poured all of the time and money we could gather to be in by Christmas. It didn’t quite happen, but we are only days away now. Anyway, for the past 2 months I have either been at my paying job, working on the house, or trying to get a nap between the two.

No Diet During The Holidays

Trust me, I say “the holidays” as a collective group including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. If “Christmas” offends you I don’t want you here anyway. Ok, I got that off of my chest, back to the point. Christmas starts for my wife and me at the end of October when Christmas Made In The South comes to town. From there we hit Warm Springs, GA for their Candlelight Tour Festival in mid November. Next is Thanksgiving followed by Callaway Garden’s Fantasy in Lights. Now we head into December with Christmas parties, Christmas dinner, (we make it to at least 3), and New Year’s celebration. Here’s the part that’s relative to my diet: all of these activities include some of the best food and snacks around. I was planning on being strong and sticking to the diet, that lasted until I walked through the doors at the Columbus River Center for Christmas Made In The South and smelled the fudge and cinnamon roasted almonds. I then pushed my diet aside and enjoyed weeks of sugar and carbs.

The Result Of My Fall

I gained 7 pounds over the last 2 months. I went back on the diet last week and have lost several pounds already. I don’t regret one bite.

The Stats

Week 16 weight: 343

Total loss: 43 pounds
