Today our nation saw evil…and we responded with the best of America.” -President George W. Bush 09/11/2001

The World Center was made up of seven buildings: Two 110-floor twin towers, one 47-story office building, two 9-story office buildings, one 8-story U.S. Customs office, and one 22-story hotel.

The twin towers were 1,362 and 1,368 feet tall.

Approximately 50,000 people were employed in the twin towers alone.

An average of 90,000 tourists and business visitors each day.

This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace.” -President George W. Bush 09/11/2001

The time has come for us to re-establish the rights for which we stand– to re-assert our inalienable rights to human dignity, self-respect, self-reliance — to again be the kind of people who once made America great.” -J. Ollie Edmunds, poet

Approximately 3,000 people died in these attacks; only 19 of them deserved it.

A Veteran Speaks To Obama

You probably won’t see this on any of the liberal controlled media, so I’m doing what I can pass it around.

Obama followers declare jihad on Webster

Local newspaper’s front-page headline on Friday: Westmoreland calls Obama ‘uppity’. How dare Representative Lynn Westmoreland use such racially insensitive language! Everyone knows that we are to walk on eggshells as not to offend Mr. Obama, who is, oh goodness should I say it, black. Actually half-black. I really don’t understand why race must be included in any discussion about qualifications. Surely the entire country is familiar with his hardships growing up with only his typically white mother and grandmother after his father skipped out on his responsibilities.

We are all stupid

The article goes on to say that Westmoreland was not aware of the racial connotation of the word. Well don’t feel bad about your apparent ignorance Mr. Westmoreland. I have questioned several people, both black and white, and I have not found a soul who knows of the word’s racial connotation.  I can give my basic definition of the word: arrogant, elitist, superior. Now let’s check Webster’s definition: “Putting on or marked by airs of superiority; arrogant, presumptuous.” Well! Even Mr. Webster was blinded by racism! I guess he wanted to hide the dirty meaning so that he could giggle on the inside when someone misused the word. I can just hear him now, “These fools don’t even know what they are saying! I am a evil genius!”

Quit whining

We all know that if McCain wins the election it will be because of racism (whites wouldn’t vote for Obama because he’s black).  If Barack Osama, excuse me, I meant Obama, wins it will be because of racism (blacks only voted for Obama because he’s black). Anything said between now and November 4th will be picked apart and twisted around until some tiny drop of imagined racism can be plastered across every headline in the country. I think that race should be removed from every job application in the country. This would ensure that people would hold positions because of qualifications alone, not quotas. Racism in all directions is wrong. Based on hearing the candidates speak I have made the following appointments: John McCain to  Washington D.C. He is a proven soldier and while I don’t agree with all of his views, he will be a good president. Barack Obama to the Washington Redskins. He is a good speaker and motivator. I believe he will make an excellent head cheerleader.

More Great Military Sites

I ran across  two more sites that do a great job of honoring our military. The first, supportheroes.org, gives financial support to veterans and/or their families who struggle because of disabling injuries or death due to war.

The next, poetpatriot.com, has a ton of information that any patriot will enjoy reading. He has timelines, quotes, jokes, and tributes. I really enjoyed the patriot classroom section. Here you can find information on voting, the flag, and presidents, along with several other topics.

High Gas Prices: Part 1

The Basics

Gas prices are driven by the supply and demand of oil. I’ll buy that. Right now, China and India have caused an increase in demand. I’ll also buy that one. This new demand coupled with the limited supply gives us the high prices we are seeing today. This is where I put away my wallet; I’m not buying. The demand is up; however, the supply is not limited.

Where In The World Did I Get This Idea?

Twenty-something years ago energy was cheap, so Congress folded to the pressure of environmentalists and cut back on energy exploration. These wildlife warriors spun epic tales of worldwide destruction due to industrial advancements; much like the global warming myth of today. Congress thought they could quiet the squeaky wheel with a drop of all natural, fully organic, virgin olive oil. Little did they know that this gnat-like annoyance would transform itself into a full grown, man sized, carbon neutral Green Machine capable of devouring any political leader who dared speak against mother nature.

What Does This Mean For Us?

The impact of this Congressional error, you ask? Well, the Department of Interior has reported that billions of barrels of oil (approximately 30 years worth at the current Saudi supply to U.S.) and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas are tucked away under the nice, warm, fuzzy wing of the Green Machine. These numbers are only for readily available oil. They don’t include oil sands, tar sands, shale, or coal to oil possibilities.

The Dreaded Environmental Impact Of Exploring Our Own Resources

So, there must be some environmental impact, right? Sure, but to the dismay of the lords of the lawn it has been a positive impact. Let’s look at the Alaska pipeline. The gurus of grass argued that the pipeline would be detrimental to the caribou population. It turns out that the caribou have flourished BECAUSE of the pipeline. Apparently they prefer to mate by the warmth of the pipeline. When you’re hot, you’re hot! What kind of credibility do the nourishers of nature have now? None in my book.

Child Rape Really Not So Bad

This is exactly the message that the Supreme Court handed down on Wednesday. In a 5-4 decision ( let’s guess the democrat to republican ratio of the Supreme Court, I’m betting about 5:4 ) they declared that executions are too severe for child rapists. Too severe? Really? A grown man repeatedly rapes a 5 year old girl and the death penalty is too severe? In my mind the death penalty is the easiest punishment this man could receive. Give him an opportunity to get saved and then send him to Heaven, or Hell if he refuses. It’s crunch time! Five states, Louisiana, Georgia, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas, have laws allowing executions for the rape of a child where the victim is not killed. Only five out of fifty, sad. And now these laws now are no longer valid. Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote “the death penalty is not a proportional punishment for the rape of a child.” Come on, even Barack Obama disagreed with the decision. The reason these judges voted the way they did is because this is the expected when you call yourself democrat. I’m sick of political games, especially ones that put political affiliation above the well being of the youngest citizens of America. “We the people”, this is a phrase that all political figures had better realize. This country is floating in the bowl just waiting to be flushed, and we the people are the only ones who can stop it.

Society of Professional Journalists

We all know that most every news story aired leans so far to the left that it takes a village to keep it from tumping over. What most people don’t know is that these liberal rules are spelled out for journalists by the Society of Professional Journalists. They are supposed to be “dedicated to  encouraging the free practice of journalism and stimulating high standards of ethical behavior.” Just look at some of their guidelines for accomplishing this ethical behavior.

Striving For Fair, Biased Journalism

Most of these guidelines are crap, but one of the most outrageous is to “Cover the victims of harassment, murder and other hate crimes as thoroughly as you cover the victims of overt terrorist attacks. ” Are you kidding me? First, you must read my views on hate crimes. Either all crimes are hate crimes, or none are. Crime is crime. A crime committed against a straight white man should be punished just the same as that crime being committed against a one-legged African-Hispanic lesbian.  (Don’t get all hopping mad, I have nothing against one-legged African-Hispanic lesbians.) What these journalists are trying to say is that having a plane flown through your office building and thousands of people being burned or crushed to death is equivilant to someone spray painting graffiti on your house. I don’t think so.

Just imagine how bad it will be when we get a Muslim president in office…

Boy Stomped To Death By Father

A twenty-seven year old man is driving his truck along a California highway with his two year old son beside him.

He stops the truck, removes the boy from his car seat, and begins punching, kicking, and stomping the boy.

A police officer arrives and shoots the man, but it’s too late for the little boy. He has been stomped into an unrecognizable mass on the side of the road.

This happened in Turlock, California on Saturday night.

The police officer acted as he should, but he was the only one in this situation to do so.

Here’s my problem: Several motorists called 911 and tried to stop the beating, but the beating continued. Just exactly what did they do to try to stop him? Offer him a sucker? Threaten to put him in time-out? How were so many ( I don’t know the exact number ) people unable to stop this man from stomping a two year old boy to death? Were people afraid to get involved? Were they afraid for their own safety?

Every person has the responsibility to protect and care for people who cannot protect themselves. When I hear about someone attacking an elderly person or abusing a child I feel a fire in my gut toward the attacker and a sorrow in my heart for the victim that does not soon ease.

You may call me harsh, judgmental, or vigilante; but you will never call me someone who stood by and watched a child stomped to death.

Match Your Candidate

I found a neat little quiz that will match you to a presidential candidate by asking your opinion on several issues. My best match was Bob Barr. John McCain was my 3rd best match. Check it out and let me know how you come out.
