We all know that most every news story aired leans so far to the left that it takes a village to keep it from tumping over. What most people don’t know is that these liberal rules are spelled out for journalists by the Society of Professional Journalists. They are supposed to be “dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism and stimulating high standards of ethical behavior.” Just look at some of their guidelines for accomplishing this ethical behavior.
Striving For Fair, Biased Journalism
Most of these guidelines are crap, but one of the most outrageous is to “Cover the victims of harassment, murder and other hate crimes as thoroughly as you cover the victims of overt terrorist attacks. ” Are you kidding me? First, you must read my views on hate crimes. Either all crimes are hate crimes, or none are. Crime is crime. A crime committed against a straight white man should be punished just the same as that crime being committed against a one-legged African-Hispanic lesbian. (Don’t get all hopping mad, I have nothing against one-legged African-Hispanic lesbians.) What these journalists are trying to say is that having a plane flown through your office building and thousands of people being burned or crushed to death is equivilant to someone spray painting graffiti on your house. I don’t think so.
Just imagine how bad it will be when we get a Muslim president in office…
Its amazing isn’t it! Its been almost 7 years since 9/11 and half of America has already forgotten. To minimize the threat of terrorism and lump Islamic terrorists in with pro-life supporters is intellectual dishonesty at best and potentially treasonous. Where is our country headed?

You’re telling us that journalists are reporting that it’s “equivalent” to see a plane flown into a building, and a 14 year old shoplift batteries for a CD player. I don’t believe any journalist anywhere in the world - even anywhere in history - has done this.
You talk about “when we get a Muslim president” which isn’t even on the horizon. Maybe you’re confused by the Talking Points propaganda over Barack Obama’s middle name. If that’s the case, you’re completely wrong. The man is a Christian.
Maybe you didn’t know this, but the criteria for being a Christian is that you have to accept Christ as your lord and savior. Being white isn’t part of it. A black man, like our next president, is perfectly entitled to turn his life over to Jesus. As a Christian, there’s nothing that bothers me as much as other Christians who don’t understand this.

John did a great job of twisting my comments. Thanks for the input. And I’m really sorry about your marital problems. Being a Christian indeed means accepting Jesus. All people are entitled to His grace and forgiveness. The race points I touched on were related to hate crimes, not salvation. I guess you would need to read and comprehend the entire article to understand this.
Also, I don’t care what Barack Obama’s middle name is. I’m talking about the fact that with the growing Muslim population and the unwarranted sympathy toward Muslims, it’s only a matter of time before we, as a nation, give them the White House. This comment had nothing to do with Obama. Once again, John, great job of changing what someone says/writes to make it fit some leftist agenda.
As a Christian, it bothers me when someone thinks that just because you attend a church you are a Christian. Let’s see, Obama was a member of a white American hating church for 20 years, I’m having trouble recalling the verse where Jesus says it’s ok to hate all white people just because of things that happened in past generations. Maybe you could refresh my memory. Also, check ontheissues.org to see Obama’s views on several major issues. How can someone claim to be a Christian and at the same time support homosexual rights and child murder - AKA abortion? They list so many more of Obama’s views that contradict scripture that I can’t list them here. Just check it out.
I am very particular about facts. I research every article that I write. Nothing news related is written off the cuff. Some of my personal notes or stories about my kids may be written purely from my experience, but never an article like this. I visited the SPJ site and read all of what I commented on. I also searched other articles about SPJ in order to draw from a variety of information.
Finally, this article was about journalism, not Obama. Somehow John turned it into Obama for king of the world. I don’t know how the man is able to talk so much yet say so little and have people worshiping him.
